National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore has arrested Patwari Abid Hussain for committing Rs 30.21 million embezzlement through sale of 62 Kanal, 18 Marlas land in connivance with State Life Insurance Cooperative Housing Society officials. NAB Lahore initiated investigations on different fronts, keeping in view, a comprehensive complaint submitted by an anonymous complainant against Abid Hussein and others.

During the course of investigations, NAB Lahore unearthed involvement of other Housing Society officials in sale and purchase of around 5,000 Kanal land for State Life Insurance Cooperative Housing Society while Patwari Abid Hussain in connivance with them sold 62 Kanal, 18 Marla land on fake 'Fard-e-Malkiat', which costs Rs 30,215,516.

NAB Lahore, after collecting evidences, filed a reference against Abid Hussain in Accountability Court while Patwari managed to flee from Court's jurisdiction on cancellation of his pre-arrest bail. NAB Lahore on Friday arrested accused and has taken 10-days physical remand of him from Accountability Court for further investigations.
